BETHAN ESTER

Bethan was born on Wurrundjeri Country and has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Indigenous studies. Bethan has come to know a philosophy and way of seeing the world through her studies: one where our world is animate, 
living, breathing, inherently relational, but also deeply political. It’s this philosophy that drives her art practice. Her artwork is both political and personal. It holds messages of love, tells stories that embrace self reflexivity and values caring to and with others and the environment. Her watercolour paintings are uniquely dynamic. She layers colour and plays with texture to create works that dance and capture the intricacies of each story she tells.
