MEL WONG

Mel Wong is an artist based in Naarm/Melbourne, known for her highly detailed coloured pencil illustrations and acrylic paintings. With a BA in Graphic Design, Mel has accumulated over a decade of experience in Graphic and Textile Design within the fashion industry. 

Alongside her professional career, Mel is a self-taught artist whose journey began with commissioned coloured-pencil illustrations through her Instagram @dreamoffrenchtoast. Recently, she has expanded her artistic practice to include painting, where she merges traditional and modern art techniques to depict intricately detailed natural forms with vibrant digital-inspired colour palettes. Mel's artistic contributions extend beyond her personal work, as she is an annual participant in the MOSS Foundation Skaters Art show (2018 to 2024)
