Mettams pool is a protected, calm bay in Western Australia with a history I find fascinating. Over 35 years, Frank Mettam and his grandchildren removed all the spiky limestone from the bay to create a gentle place for Frank's wife to bathe. Like a herd of elephants maintaining multiple ecosystems for several species, Frank bent but didn't break the nature nearby and imbued it with love that still stands today.
