'Whatever you say' forms part of an abstract figurative series, which looks at the psychological impacts and manifest anxiety that comes from the labour of the self, in a globalised, fractured, and hyper-individualised world. These images are graphic in quality, and allure viewers with their veneer of popping colours and perfectly smooth textures (much the way images presented on channels like social media do). On closer inspection, the surrealist nature of these compositions indicate tension between expectations and reality, reinforced by the often desolate emotions evident in figures' facial expressions, and the vaguely sinister activities being portrayed.
